2.  Steven Covici, MD, is an accomplished
oculofacial plastic and reconstructive
surgeon. He pursued his undergraduate
education at the University of Pennsylvania,
and ultimately went on to complete a
fellowship in oculofacial plastic and
reconstructive surgery at the same
institution. Furthermore, Dr. Steven Covici
serves patients in the areas of Springfield,
MA, and Hartford, CT, and has authored
research papers and chapters of surgical
books.

3.  Over time, gravity, sun exposure, other
environmental factors, and hereditary
factors result in the aging and sagging of
skin. However, cosmetic enhancements
can modify the skin’s appearance. In
some cases, the desired results can be
achieved with minimally invasive
techniques.

4.  Non-surgical cosmetic enhancement
options include facial fillers, BOTOX®, and
chemical peels. Using one or more of these
techniques, patients can eliminate acne
scars, shrink pores, or downplay wrinkles.
Treatments that can be injected include
BOTOX® Cosmetic, and fillers such as
Sculptra®, JUVÉDERM®, RADIESSE®, and
Restylane®. The application of Lidocaine
lotion to the injection spot minimizes pain.
