The sheriff arrived at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's house to conduct an auction but no one answered the gate despite repeated knocking. An Audi then hastily exited from a secondary unwatched gate while journalists waited. After several hours of movement inside but no one opening the gate, the sheriff and auctioneer left as an ice cream vendor took the opportunity to sell to the remaining journalists. The Audi later returned through the main gate, leaving a trail of water.
