Some Protestants may defend the Papacy due to fear of persecution, losing their jobs or income, wanting acceptance, or doubts about biblical teachings. They fear isolation, being attacked or mocked for criticizing the Papacy. A lack of Bible study and moral courage allows the Papacy's propaganda to influence them into becoming puppets that compromise Protestant beliefs.
