Last year, the world experienced volatility as we have never seen. Business leaders had to adapt at a moment's notice, and stability was hard to come by. I have hope that in 2021, we will see a ruturn to normalcy, but the road ahead remains unpredictable.
We are now in the third year of the "Year of 5G." But really--this should be the actual Year of 5G! Years of marketing hype have resulted in a number of false starts for this exciting new mobile technology.
The challenges inherent in an architect’s role are only compounded when planning for the hybrid cloud. This is a long term planning exercise with short term deliverables — one thing we know for sure is that the modern enterprise will not tolerate a technology vacuum. A vacuum, after all, is what launched the multicloud phenomena to start with. - Abaram Network Solutions
Learning top cloud storage tips from the experts will help you to make the most of your storage, and use the tool effectively. Cloud has made it so much easier for creatives to access data safely from anywhere rather than having to carry around a pen drive or a massive external hard drive.
Moving data to the cloud can be a great way to save money. With costs that are measured in mere pennies per gigabyte, cloud storage may be much less expensive--not to mention more reliable and easier to manage--than on-premise storage infrastructure. Yet those pennies-per-gigabyte add up over time. If you’re not careful to control your cloud storage costs, you may end with a total storage bill that far exceeds what you were hoping for. - Abaram Network Solutions
This is according to data collected by the annual State of Multicloud Survey run by Turbonomic (that's out parent brand). The survey, using data collected from more than 800 global IT professionals, examines the state of multicloud adoption, its drivers and the technologies enabling it, including public cloud, containers, and edge computing.
Companies of all sizes are onboarding the cloud to efficiently run their processes. They’re being challenged to keep pace with enormous piles of data that can have an impact on business decisions. Differing analytics tools and unclear roles and functions are preventing organizations from making faster and better business decisions.

The ongoing growth of cellular wireless network applications creates new demand for emerging technologies. Fifth-generation (5G) wireless includes several network layers that leverage technology such as Open Access Network (Open RAN), network slicing, and cloud edge computing.

There's saying in the scientific community: all biology is computational biology. In other words, when you're dealing with whole genomes, or datasets complied from thousands of records containing thousands more biomarkers, you need serious computational power-and techniques-to get the most out of the data. Now, cloud platforms built for biomedical research are providing the power that these projects need.
The future of computing is in the cloud. If you've been following the trajectory computer science has been on, you will know that cloud computing is one of the next essential skills you will need to learn.
It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). While dealing with decreased foot traffic, greater local regulations, and growing expenses, cybersecurity has undoubtedly become a lesser priority for SMBs struggling to get back on their feet.
It's easy to focus on all the ways 2929 has been a challenging year: the Covid-19 pandemic, a sputtering economy, and (for cybersecurity professionals) an explosion of new and increasingly dangerous cyberthreats.
As cyber threats are evolving more every day, it has now become necessary to look at Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to protect systems and give organizations the best security possible.
As the goes, hindsight is 2020. Check out the articles that caught the attention of IT pros this year and know what that says about the current state of the market.
With online learning becoming the prevalent model in recent months and going forward, its important that educational institutions step up their security measures
It's been more than eight or so months since the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for distancing forced companies throughout the U.S. to rethink the way they do business, closing down offices and sending millions of employees to work from home.

The role of the chief information security officer-or CISO for short- is to understand a corporation's cyber threat landscape and know where vulnerabilities lie.
2020 is a year we're not going to forget in a hurry. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed our lives entirely and created a perfect atmosphere for cyber attacks and security breaches.
As of September 2020, nearly 60% of full-time and part-time workers in the U.S. were doing their jobs remotely at least some of the time during the coronavirus pandemic. And many of them would like to keep doing so.
Software-defined perimeter, or SDP, is a relatively new technology that offers significant improvements in network security when compared with a fixed perimeter, SDP products are new, and the process for implementing the technology is still being developed.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
