Amber Wingler loves pressure.“I would
rather be under pressure than not.
It makes me pitch better,” the recent
graduate says. This after she pitched a
1-0 win against Paoli in the Sectional
tournament in May.
Clarksville head coach Tim Hauber says
that with Amber on the field, the whole
team performs better.“We’ve seen how
we play when she’s not here.When she’s
on the mound our defensive play is
better,” he says.
Amber graduated from Clarksville last
month with academic honors and will
move on to college play next year. She
has not firmly decided on her plan, but
she is leaning toward an offer from
Indiana University Southeast.She plans
to study life sciences and become a
zoologist.

the student council and she is also a
devoted supporter of charitable causes,
including the Polar Bear Plunge, for
which she collected funds for the last
four years.
