This document describes a conceptual design project for a portable shelter for children's activities at school. The shelter is intended to provide protection from UV and infrared radiation while allowing airflow and some sunlight. Design considerations include using cool colors, smooth textures, and paint that does not reflect. The shelter should be group-sized, drop-shaped, and transportable to provide a pleasant resting or play environment with little physical effort. Sketches and concepts for the formal structure and flexible PVC materials are presented.
