Volley Science activities - Ana
This brochure summarizes the volunteer experience of Ana Luisa D'Orazio with the Yellow Shirts Association in Romania from February to October 2020. As part of the project "Volleyball is not rocket science. We are!", she carried out a variety of activities including creating brochures, writing articles, conducting social media promotion, attending mentor meetings, doing sports photography, participating in cultural events, holding movie nights, and giving presentations. The experience allowed her to develop her skills in areas like design, photography, writing and community engagement while facing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Volley Science activities - Viorela
Viorela volunteered in Murcia, Spain for one year through the Yellow Shirts project. She organized numerous volleyball-related activities including designing posters, sharing volleyball tips on social media, and leading volleyball workshops. She also shared aspects of Romanian culture through dance workshops and holidays. During quarantine, she led online exercise videos and discussions to promote healthy lifestyles. Throughout her volunteer experience, Viorela gained skills in event planning, communication, and community outreach while representing her home culture in Spain.
