It shows the internal jugular vein, external jugular vein, and several tributary veins that drain into them including the maxillary vein, retromandibular vein, facial vein, posterior auricular vein, and temporal superficial vein. The internal jugular vein and external jugular vein are the main veins that drain blood from the head and neck.
