Fish populations around the world are declining at an alarming rate due to overfishing and pollution, threatening both the fishing industry and marine ecosystems. Nearly one-third of fish species are overexploited while another 60% are fully exploited, leaving little room for growth. Unless sustainable practices are adopted globally, many fish species could disappear within our lifetimes, devastating both the environment and livelihoods.
