This interdisciplinary project between architecture and landscape architecture students involved designing the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Youth Center and surrounding Lansdowne Neighborhood in East St. Louis, Illinois. The project used 3D modeling software to design the Youth Center, which included a recreation facility, baseball field, and soccer/track fields. It also proposed developing vacant lots and introducing a nature area to promote clustered development in the Lansdowne neighborhood. The project was nominated by the landscape architecture department and won an award for its outstanding design from the senior project competition.
