35. Het bedrijf CSR toonde op het Mobile World Congress een systeem waarmee de positie van een persoon in een gebouw kan worden bepaald. Het systeem maakt gebruik van een accelerometer, gyroscoop en barometer voor de plaatsbepaling.Het systeem heeft de naam SIRF Walk gekregen en moet inspringen op de grote zwakte van gps-systemen: de noodzaak van een directe line of sight naar de satellieten. SIRF Walk gebruikt een accelerometer en gyroscoop om te bepalen in welke richting een persoon zich beweegt zodra deze uit het zicht is van de gps-satellieten. Door middel van de barometer kan ook worden achterhaald op welke verdieping van een gebouw de persoon zich bevindt. Volgens Raj Gawera van CSR is de software geavanceerd genoeg om kleine bewegingen van de apparatuur te herkennen en is het systeem niet makkelijk te foppen.
