INTRODUCTION:-
The Union Budget 2024-25, presented by Union Finance Minister,
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, sets a visionary path for India's
economic development. The budget focuses on the theme of
"Next Generation Reforms," aiming to bolster economic growth,
improve productivity, and enhance the efficiency of markets and
sectors.
Budget Estimates 2024-25The Finance Minister informed that for
the year 2024-25, the total receipts other than borrowings and
the total expenditure are estimated at 32.07 lakh crore and

48.21 lakh crore respectively.

The FM announced the
Final Budget on 23rd July 2024. She stated that
this year’s budget is focused on employment,
skilling, MSME and the middle class. She also
stated the priorities of the budget which were as
follows:
Productivity and resilience in
agriculture:-
 The central govt was allotted 1.52 lakh crore allotted for
agriculture and allied sectors
 New 109 high-yielding and climate –resilient varieties of 32
fields and horticulture crops to be released for cultivation by
farmer.
 A strong push to 1 crore farmers across the country towards
natural farming supported through certification and branding.
 10000 need –based bio-input resource centers to be
established assisting the implementation.
EMPLOYMENT AND SKILLING:
 employment and skilling budget 2024 highlights:FM
allocates 1.48 lakh crores.
 The govt wEmpill provide financial support for loans
up to 10 lakhs for higher education in domestic
institution .
 In her speech ,she highlighted that the govt will focus
on “employment, skilling medium and small
enterprises(MSME),and the middle class”over the next
five years.
INCLUSIVE HUMAN RESOURCE
DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE:
 As India moves towards its goal of becoming a
developed nation by 2047, Priority 3 of the union
budget focuses on "Inclusive Human Resource
Development and Social Justice," outlining several key
initiatives aimed at uplifting marginalized communities
and promoting balanced regional development.
 The govt will formulate a plan purvodaya , for the all
round development of the eastern region of the country
covering bihar , Jharkhand ,west Bengal , odisha and
Andhra Pradesh .This will also cover human resource
development , infrastructure and generation of
economic oppurtunities to make the region an engine
MANUFACTURING AND SERVICES:
 This budget provides special attention to MSMEs and
manufacturing, particularly labour-intensive manufacturing .
 we have formulated a package covering financing , regulatory
changes and technology support for MSMEs to help them grow
and also compete globally , as mentioned in the interim budget.
 INTERNSHIP IN TOP COMPANIES:
 An internship allowance of 6000 will be provided.
 Companies will be expected to bear the training cost and 10% of
the internship cost from their CSR funds

ENERGY SECURITY:
 PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA :
 In the line with the announcement in the interim
budget, PM surya ghar muft Bijli yojana has been
launched to install rooftop solar plants to enable 1crore
house holds obtain free electricity up to 300 units every
month.
 The scheme has generated remarkable response with
more than 1.28 cr registration and 14 lakh applications.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
 Significant the central govt has made over the years in
building and improving infrastructure has had strong
multiplier effect on the economy.
 central will endeavour to maintain strong fiscal support
forb infrastructure over the next five years,in conjuction
with imperatives of other priorities and fiscal
consolidation.This year,govt have provided 11,11,111 cr
for capital expenditure.this would be 3.4% of our GDP.
INNOVATION,RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT:
 Central will operationalize ANUSANDHAN NATIONAL RESEARCH fund for basic
research prototype development. further, central will setup a mechanism for
spurring private sector-driven research and innovation at commercial scale
with if financing pool of 1lakh crore in line with the announcement interim
budget.
 SPACE ECONOMY:
 With central continued emphasis on expanding the space economy by 5 times
in the next 10 years a venture capital fund thousand crores will be set up.
NEXT GENERATION REFORMS:
 Our govt will initiate and incentivize reforms of [1]
improving productivity of factors of production and [2]
facilitating markets and sectors to become more efficient.
this reforms will cover all factors of production, namely
land, labour, capital and entreprenurship, and technology
as an enabler of improving total factor productivity and
bridging inequality.
