Palatino Linotype is an old style typeface developed by Francesco Griffo in the 15th century. He based the capital letters on Roman versions and lowercase on humanist styles from Carolingian minuscules. The typeface emphasizes weight at angles as in handwriting and has bracketed serifs. Lowercase letters have angled top serifs.
