Leatherback Leatherback turtles grow to be up to 8 ft. and can weigh almost a ton. On its shell is a leathery cover of skin. Leatherbacks lay their eggs on tropical beaches and lay from 50 to 170 eggs and may lay several batches of eggs at a time.
Green Turtle/Hatchlings Green turtles migrate to Brazil when they are big enough to swim, once there they graze on sea grass (algae). They usually have to swim almost 3,000 miles to get to Brazil.
