4. HISTORY OF TURKEY LACROSSE OPEN
First ever international lacrosse
tournament held in Turkey. June 15-17
2012 at Enka Sports Club in Istanbul
welcomed national teams from Bulgaria,
Israel and of course, Turkey. The event
was called “BUZZER LACROSSE OPEN”
after our tournament sponsor BUZZER
energy drink company.
Israel took first place with an 2-0 record.
Second place went to Bulgaria with a 1-1
record. The home country, Turkey, took
3rd place with an 0-2 record .
This was great experience for the Turkish
players as most never played in a real
game and never amongst other nations.
PIZZA BULLS gave free pizzas all weekend
to teams and fans. Has Otomotiv donated
a 45-seater Mercedes-Benz bus to
transport teams the entire event from
hotel to fields to after parties and so on.
Our naming sponsor gave free limitless
BUZZER energy drinks, water and food to
all participants throughout the event

6. ALANYA, TURKEY
• Is a beach resort city in the Mediterranean Region of Turkey, known as the Turkish Riviera.
• Because of its natural strategic position on a small peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea below
the Taurus Mountains, Alanya has been a local stronghold for many Mediterranean-based
empires, including the Ptolemaic, Seleucid, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. Alanya's
greatest political importance came in the Middle Ages, with the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm under
the rule of Alaeddin Kayqubad I, from whom the city derives its name. His building campaign
resulted in many of the city's landmarks, such as the Kızıl Kule (Red Tower), Tersane (Shipyard),
and Alanya Castle.

• September 23rd and 24th from 19:00-22:00
• In the heart of Alanya city center on the harbour where all clubs, bars,
shops and restaurants are located
• The harbour will be filled with local and tourists from around the world
• Hand out promotional material and showcase lacrosse educating about
our sport and getting everyone excited about the main tournament

• 5 v 5 plus goalie
• 2x15 minute running time
• Teams will be mix of women and men players
• Teams will be drawn out of a hat before each evening

14. CLINICS
Clinics will run on Monday September 23rd and Tuesday September 24th
from 10:00-12:00 then 14:00-16:00. They are open to anyone and
everyone and are free to all teams. players and public.
• Men’s Player Position Clinics will be conducted by John Christmas (attack),
Kyle Sweeney (defense), Jordan Hall (Midfield) with others to come.
• Women’s Player Position Clinics will be conducted by various experienced
European players.
• Referee Clinics will be conducted by various zebras from around the world.
• Umpire Clinics will be conducted by various members of the black and
whites from around Europe
• Youth Clinics will be conducted by professional lax players from US and
Canada and by Turkish players. This is optional for all arriving players and
teams but is highly recommended to help us grow the game to the locals.
• Coaching Clinics will be conducted by various individuals with vast
coaching experience

• Reserve your flight(s) with a 30% down payment and the
balance is due approximately 3 weeks prior to travel
