Eight students from S2 and S4 EEE at Trinity College of Engineering completed a five-day internship at the Pettah and Sreevaraham Electrical Distribution Section of the Kerala State Electricity Board. The internship provided hands-on experience in electrical distribution. A quote from APJ Abdul Kalam encourages students to ask questions during their education. Delegates from the International Association of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers visited the Kerala Science and Technology Museum and the Bioinformatics Department of Kerala University.

Trinity IEDC students from various departments attended a two-day workshop on entrepreneurship development organized by the Kerala Startup Mission and ICT Academy. The workshop was held at LBS Institute of Technology for Women. The students received participation certificates for attending. Special thanks was given to the IEDC Nodal Officer and Assistant Nodal Officer for coordinating the program. Additionally, final year ECE student Bhadrapriya was selected as campus ambassador by the Municipal Corporation Kattakada Taluk Office to help with a new voters registration campaign on campus this semester. Lastly, students from the ECE and EEE departments attended a seminar on Internet of Things conducted by IPCS.

16 students and faculty from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department at Trinity College of Engineering visited flood-affected areas in Aranmula to assist with wiring inspections and repairs of around 50 homes. As part of their "Mission Reconnect" effort, the team installed a single point distribution board at the local KSEB office and connected it to 5 homes that needed rewiring. The Kerala State Electricity Board commended the team for their work assisting with flood rehabilitation efforts, which provided invaluable experience for the engineering students.

Ricardo Technologies conducted a final water test of their unmanned underwater vehicle at Vellayani lake. The team, accompanied by the principal, Srikumaran Nair and Pradeep, tested the vehicle with the guidance of Rahul VR and Krishnanunni.
Trinity College of Engineering held a wire looping competition as part of National Technology Day to promote interest in electrical problem solving. A team of five S6 EEE students solved the electrical circuit design task in the shortest time to win first place in the competition.

1) The Moondance Film Society announces a short film contest with a maximum length of 5 minutes and cash prizes of Rs. 1000, Rs. 750, and Rs. 500. The deadline for submissions is October 13th at midnight.
2) Students from the Electronics and Communication Engineering department visited the Energy Management Center in Sreekaryam to learn about energy conservation.
3) Ten students and two faculty members from the department visited ISRO Thumba to witness the launch of a climate detecting satellite. The visit included a museum tour to collect data for a presentation on ISRO Space Week.

The Monday morning meeting at Trinity College of Engineering recognized students who received funding from Kerala StartUp mission for their projects on an underwater vehicle and a solar-powered sea water desalination unit. The principal also introduced recently developed products from the college. An assistant professor then discussed the importance of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell during the BTech program. Additionally, an essay writing competition was held and a soft skills training session offered career guidance and placements in marketing.

An article titled 'Design and performance analysis of screw feeder packing system in a manufacturing organization' prepared by S8 Mechanical students has been accepted to the International Conference on Automotive System, Agricultural Equipments and Manufacturing. The conference will be held at Kalasalingam University. The students and their guide Ms. Shama M S will present their work at the Indo-Brazil conference.

A two-day workshop called "Fuel Your Launch" was held prior to the Kerala IEDC Summit 2018 to train aspiring entrepreneurs. 25 entrepreneurs from 8 colleges attended the workshop led by Dr. Arun Surendran of Trinity College of Engineering. Additionally, an Atal Tinkering Lab training was provided to students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya School by professors from Trinity College to teach skills like prototyping. An orientation on watershed management analysis was also conducted collaboratively between Trinity College and Kerala Agriculture University.

Six companies - IndoTech Engineers, Kairali Constructions, Cad Home, Acuwin Global, i-Boson Innovations and Lumia Electro Systems - interviewed 62 applicants from Trinity College of Engineering and other local colleges. The companies shortlisted 10 students total, including 4 students from Trinity College of Engineering.

16 students and faculty from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department at Trinity College of Engineering visited flood-affected areas in Aranmula to assist with wiring inspections and repairs of around 50 homes. As part of their "Mission Reconnect" effort, the team installed a single point distribution board at the local KSEB office and connected it to 5 homes that needed rewiring. The Kerala State Electricity Board commended the team for their work assisting with flood rehabilitation efforts, which provided invaluable experience for the engineering students.

The department also celebrated the birthday of department head Assistant Professor Anu S Narayan and held talks on topics such as 'E-BOMB' and 'MUD VOLCANO' presented by students.

1) The IEEE Power and Energy Society Kerala Chapter is organizing an engineering quiz contest for first year students on October 4th. The quiz will have 40 questions testing general knowledge, current affairs, and science and engineering. Winners will qualify for finals on November 5th.
2) Principal Dr. Arun Surendran conducted a three-session faculty training program on goal setting, urging faculty to set specific goals for their courses and labs.
3) Project consultant Niranjan Kumar mentored Trinity College students for three days, providing insights to a range of students from freshers to final years. He focused on space-related presentations for an upcoming space week.
