Sensei Trevor Jarrett has over 40 years of karate experience. He started training in 1977 and received his 1st dan black belt in 1982. Since then, Trevor has risen to 5th dan, one of the highest grades in his area, and has helped coach the Exeter University karate club since 2000 while continuing to referee at regional and national championships.

Trevor started his Karate training in
1977, he was dragged along to Karate
classes by his sister. In 1982 Trevor
successfully graded for his Black Belt
(1st Dan) under Sensei Enoeda, the
week after he was given complete
responsibility for the Cullompton club
to him. Trevor has always travelled to
the Southwest, Southern and National
championships and now helps to
referee. In 2007 Trevor successfully
passed his 5th Dan making him one of
the highest grades in the area. Trevor
has been teaching the Exeter
University Shotokan Karate Club since
2000.
