Stop Press – 25th February 2013 THE PARS COMMUNITY: A SECURE LONG TERM FUTURE IN OUR OWN HANDS Renewed and Unconditional Invitation to Meet with the Current Owner The Pars Community has today written to the current owner of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Limited in the following terms. We look forward to an early reply. ‘Mr Gavin Masterton Director Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Limited 25th February 2013 Dear Mr Masterton We wrote to you on 19th February 2013 with a number of questions regarding the club’s proposed share issue, to which you have not responded. On 20th February 2013, we reconfirmed the basis on which we were prepared to meet with you. Since then, the club has had to postpone its share issue because of regulatory matters and you are on record as saying that the club currently has a short term cash flow crisis. We are aware of many other fans who share our view and concern that the future of the club is far more important than any one individual or group. It is for this reason that we are prepared to meet with you for half a day, as soon as the filed 2012 audited accounts of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Limited, Charlestown Holdings Limited and East End Park Limited have been made public by Companies House. We understand that by law, the last date when you can file these accounts is 28th February 2013. Hopefully this means that our meeting can take place very soon. At our meeting, we will present, and seek to negotiate, a detailed multi-point ‘fan ownership’ led proposal, involving a substantial investment in the club by The Pars Community together with a significant restructuring of both the club’s balance sheet and governance arrangements. We suggest that Supporters Direct is represented at our meeting. We continue to believe that our ideas and vision can deliver a secure future for the club, in both the immediate future and in the long term, and as such, will be of interest to you and all other stakeholders. For the avoidance of any doubt, the proposed meeting will take place without any precondition from either yourself or The Pars Community; all previous such preconditions to a meeting taking place being waived by both parties.
