A plasma display is a type of computer monitor that uses tiny pixels of plasma or ionized gas that glow like neon lights to illuminate each pixel on the screen. Plasma displays are thinner than older CRT monitors and brighter than LCD screens. While plasma displays offer large sizes, high resolution, brightness, contrast, viewing angles and response times, they are currently more expensive than other display technologies.
