Simple Sentence (SS):
Es un grupo de palabras que se componen de un sujeto, un verbo y un
predicado o complemento.
Ex: The nurse has a headache. The teacher explains the class.
Compound Sentece (CS):
Las oraciones compuestas tienen dos o más verbos y tienen sentido
completo, es decir, no depende una de la otra. Pueden estar unidas por el
conector de adición (and, for, yet, but, nor, so).
Ex: The hospital is full of patients and the doctor goes out.
The child hid behind his mother`s skirt, for (because) he was
afraid of the dog.
Let's go to the hospital today, for it's necessary in our preparation
as future doctors.
He did no study, yet (but) he passed the exam.
Complex Sentece (CXS):
Una oración compleja tiene una oraciòn independiente unida a una o dos
màs dependientes de la primera. Una oraciòn compleja tiene siempre un
subordinador como: (because, since, after, although, o when o un pronombre
relativo como that, who, where or which).
Ex: The teacher returned the homework after she noticed the error.
The girl is taking the medicine because she is sick.
Although I had fever, I went to swim.
After I went to the doctor, I cleaned my teeth.
