ThermBlock was applied to various surfaces to evaluate its effectiveness at reducing temperatures. Infrared images showed the surface where ThermBlock was applied had lower temperatures than untreated surfaces both inside and out. In a hot climate, ThermBlock reduced indoor air temperature by 4.5°F when applied to a warehouse roof. In cold tests, one apartment unit had ThermBlock applied to interior walls which reduced heating energy costs by 50% and kept interior temperatures higher based on thermostat use. ThermBlock demonstrated benefits in both hot and cold environments.
