The Little Ice AgeBy: Justin FernandezProf. ArguelloHist 141
Little Ice AgeThe “Little Ice Age” targeted mankind 7 in the 14thto 17th century. The effects of the little ice age were less pronounced since the last ice age. However, the Little Ice Age did reshaped the world. Now scientist do believe that is a beginning of possible dangerous climatic shits. The earth holds preserves of natural history, giving climatologist much data to provide evidence to prevent any natural disasters and the causes. Some reasons of the Little Ice age was dues to the fact of less radiation from the sun; which, caused the earth global cooling. Scientist have different theories on why the Little Ice Age began, but evidence still is being found. Such as, trees which holds years of evidence of climate change.
Europe's chill linked to disease - It is said the Europes “Little Ice Age” had been tiggered by the plaque that swept over Europe in the 14thcenturry. -	The supported evidence for the new study were found in the pollen and leaf from trees that sprang up; which, attracted carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The evidence found sought to be the reason it was the cause for cooling the climate.Dr. Thomas van Hoof and his colleagues carefully studied the pollen grains and leads which, carried the carbon dioxide from lake-bed sediments. By monitoring the ups and downs in the leaf and pollen allowed the Dr. Hoof and his colleagues to estimate the changes of land-use during AD 1000 and 1500. Europe’s chill...cont.It was found by the research team that an increase of cereal pollen 1200 and up, were agricultural crisis caused by the uprising of the Black Death. The team found a decrease in stomata and atmospheric carbon dioxide during AD 1200 to 1300. However, the team also found the pattern reversed. Many theories on what caused the big chill, but one popular idea was a decrease of solar activity, increase in volcanic or in ocean circulations.
