It is through the story of Prophet Adam(AS) the first human being that we get the solution to what is called the oldest problem in philosophy, Decree(Qadr).
(5) God Consciousness - Ramadan Reminders -محمد سجال
Sheikh Khalid Al-Husainan discusses the importance of being God-conscious at all times. He explains that nothing is hidden from God, whether on earth or in heaven, and that people should fear God's watch more than the watch of other humans. As an example, he notes that some people will be very careful not to break rules if their children can see, but are less careful about disobeying God when alone. He urges remembering that God sees all and records our actions, and that reflecting on God's greatness should prevent disobeying Him. The talk aims to make people more aware of their shortcomings and reform their hearts to properly respect God at all times.
This document contains summaries of two passages from the Quran.
The first passage discusses how embracing Islam is not a favor done for the Prophet, but rather it is Allah who has favored people by guiding them to faith. The bedouins should not see their acceptance of Islam as something that obligates the Prophet, but rather they owe a debt to Allah for their guidance.
The second passage notes that Allah knows all that is unseen in the heavens and earth as well as people's actions. His knowledge is complete. If people truly believed Allah sees all they do, they would be more careful in their actions and speech, as if constantly being watched.
This document provides an overview of the key principles of Islam according to Sh. Hmoud Al-Lahim. It defines Islam as submission to Allah's commands without objection. It explains that everything in the universe submits to Allah's laws. The five pillars of Islam are outlined as: 1) the testimony of faith that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger,2) prayer performed five times daily, 3) paying zakat, 4) fasting during Ramadan, and 5) pilgrimage to Mecca if able. Proofs of prophethood like miracles and the inimitable nature of the Quran are discussed.

It begins by defining Islam as submission to the commands of Allah without objection, as this is the true essence of Islam. It then discusses how everything in the universe submits to Allah's laws, including humans. The document explains that Allah has given humans freedom of choice and shown us the paths of guidance and deviation through prophets. It states that those who choose guidance and fulfill their duties are true Muslims, while those who neglect worship and commit prohibitions are unbelievers. The document outlines some of Islam's main teachings on tawheed (monotheism), worshipping Allah alone, and the rewards of obedience

This document provides a preface to a book that aims to introduce Islam briefly. It notes that humans need divine guidance to answer basic questions about their purpose and existence. Islam is derived from roots meaning "peace" and "submission," referring to peaceful submission to Allah. The message of Islam has been taught since Adam and conveyed by many prophets including Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). The preface sets up the book's goal of outlining Islam's basic teachings at a foundational level.

I felt that I should hurry in bringing forward the hadeeth: “The two feet of the son of Aadam will not move from near his Lord on the Day of Judgement until he is asked about five (matters): about his life – how he spent it; about his youth – how he took care of it; about his wealth – how he earned it; and where he spent it; and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge that he acquired,” as an aid towards purification of the souls and preparation for death. The advice being firstly to myself, secondly to the du’aat (callers to Allah’s path) and thirdly to all my Muslim brothers in every part of the world – hoping that Allah, the Most High, will cause benefit through that which I have written and that the fruits of that may be reaped, now and in the future. In this treatise I restricted myself to one part of the hadeeth and that is “…and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge that he gained.
1) The document discusses the virtue and importance of seeking knowledge according to Islamic teachings.
2) It provides verses from the Quran and sayings of the prophet Muhammad that encourage the acquisition of knowledge and emphasize its higher status compared to mere acts of worship.
3) The document also warns that knowledge must be coupled with guidance, otherwise it can mislead people. It notes that in the afterlife, scholars who do not benefit from their knowledge will be among the worst people.
This presentation discusses the origins of humanity according to Islam. It explains that all humans were created by God (Allah) from clay and are descended from the first humans, Adam and Eve. However, Satan disobeyed God and refused to bow down before Adam as commanded. As a result, Satan was expelled from heaven. Later, Satan successfully tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the forbidden tree, leading to their expulsion from the garden of Eden to Earth. The presentation emphasizes that all humans are related as descendants of Adam and Eve, but Satan seeks to mislead humanity from the righteous path through temptation. The goal is to understand these origins and avoid Satan's influences in order to attain heaven after judgment day.
The document discusses the Prophet's methods for correcting mistakes made by people. It notes that correcting mistakes is an important part of education and sincerity in religion. The Quran itself corrected mistakes made by the Prophet and companions. The Prophet was guided by revelation to denounce evil and mistakes without compromise. Understanding his methodology exposes flaws in man-made approaches. When correcting others, one must have sincerity towards God and choose an appropriate method based on the situation.

The Lessons of Decree from the Story of Prophet Adam (AS)
1. The Lessons of Decree fromthe Story of Prophet Adam (AS)
One of the mostdifficultaspectsof Islamicteachingstograspnot onlyfornon-Muslimsorreverts,but
alsofor bornMuslimsisthe conceptof Final Decree or how it isknowninArabicas Qadr. First thingto
realize isthatthiscan be explainedinseveral waysandalsowe mustunderstandthatthiscan neverbe
a short conversationwheneverittakesplace. The veryconceptof Predestination andthe common
questionof ‘If Allah(SWT) already knowswhatIwill do, how is it my fault?’ takessome understanding
and time tograsp.
SlappingSomeSense into thatQuestion
Accordingto a verylearnedIslamicScholar,he saysthatif someone washavingthatconversationwith
himor askingthat questionof him,the firstthinghe woulddoisslapthe one askingthe question.Which
isa bitstartlingright? The personwhogot slappedwill ask,‘Why did you slap me?’ Andthe Imam
responds,‘You can’tblamemefor that,it wasAllah’s(SWT) Decree, it waspredestined.’ We askyou,
wouldthe personthatwas slappedagree tothatanswer?Of course theywill not, because the imam
slappedhimbutnowhe is sayingitisnot hisfault.Theyknow the imamhithim andwill neverbelieve or
take certainanswerthat itwas Allah’s(SWT) Decree because intheirheartstheyknow thatthe Imam
slappedhimof hisownvolition,whichbasicallymeansthatintheircore,the people askingthe question
‘If Allah(SWT) already knowswhatIwill do, how is it my fault?’alreadyknow thatthisdoesnotmake any
practical sense. The factis, the people whowanttobelievethisorwantto argue thisquestionare
simplypeoplewhowanttodo some badthingsand theydon’twantto be blamedforit. Thisisthe
psychological rootof thisproblem.
The Lessonsof Decree from the Story of the First Human Being [Prophet Adam(AS)]
The Quran doesnot have a chapteron Qadr(Decree),whichis whyitteachesus that conceptthrough
the story of ProphetAdam(AS),the firsthumanbeingtohave been created. Accordingtothe same
scholar, the Quran teachesusthat if there wasone humanbeingthathad the rightto ask Allah(SWT),
‘You already knewI wasgoing to be sentdown to earth’ it was Adam(AS). Itisthroughthe storyof the
firsthumanbeingthatwe get the solutiontowhatis called theoldestproblemin philosophy,Qadr.Letit
be knownthat the careful studyof the story of Prophet(Adam),littlebylittleisveryimportant.
Here you have to understandandbe aware of one thing.Whichis whatshaytan(devil) saidtoAllah
(SWT).Allah(SWT) saysinthe Quran,
[Iblees]said,“My Lord, becauseYou have misledme, I will surely make (disobedience) attractiveto
them on earth, and I will misleadthem all O Except, amongthem, Your chosenservants.”
(QuranSurah Al-HijrAyah15:39-40)
Thenwe have to lookat what ProphetAdam(AS) saidtoAllah(SWT).Allah(SWT) saysinthe Quran,
2. They said,“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, andif Youdo not forgiveus and have mercy upon
is,we will surely be amongthe losers.”
(QuranSurah Al-A’raf Ayah7:23)
1. From thisitis obvioustosee thatthe one who refusestoadmithisownfaultand says ‘Allah
(SWT) mademe slip’ iswho?The devil.
2. The one whoadmitshisownfaultand pleadstoAllah(SWT) admittinghisownfaultiswho?
Prophet Adam(AS).
That is the lessonwe learninthe storyof the firsthumanbeing. Itisquite evidentthatthe devil wants
to continue hisownfailuresandwants toinjectthatdisease intous. ThisiswhyPredestinationiscalled
the oldest problemin philosophy because itwasshaytan’sproblem.
