The student watched the movie "Hooligans" and had their view of life in the UK turned upside down. They were surprised by the level of violence shown, especially over something like a football game. The movie showed that Britain contains both nice people as well as more violent people who live double lives, being aggressive football hooligans but otherwise holding down normal jobs and families. It was unfortunate that one character, Pete, who seemed like an asshole that drank and fought but was actually a nice teacher, had to die in the end.
If you’ve ever wondered if there is life after death, if there is really a Heaven and hell, or whether science can confirm the testimonies of people who’ve returned from the dead, then this riveting video will answer those questions—and more!

_______________The “Hooligans”_______________
The movie “Hooligans” did affect my thoughts of how lives in the UK is or
was (I’ve heard there’s been some changes). I’ve always had an
impression that everyone was gentle and nice to etch others but now that
I’ve seen what it’s really like I am left with my set of mind turned up-side
down. I never thought violence was so normal in Britain, and definitely not
because of football. I get that people get upset when their team is
defeated but fight? Why fight over some game where you kick a ball
around and get as many points as possible? Just why injure yourself and
others for some lost game?
I actually enjoyed the movie as opposed to all the other movies I’ve
watched at school. I can’t really pick out anything that I don’t like because
it was pretty good. But I like that the movie shows us that Britain isn’t full
of nice people, but also bad people or violent people that lives “two” lives
(sort of), a football life with lots of drinking and violence and a normal life
where you work and have a family. Like Pete, who seems like a violent
asshole that just drinks and fights before and after a football match, but
he is actually a nice guy who works as a history and gym teacher, he
respect women and care for his students. It’s just a shame that he had to
die.
