Introduction The Teddy Bear is a stuffed toy bear for children. The bear is so cute and traditional form of animal bear. Many people think the bear is their listener and loyal friend. They also can comfort upset children. In recent times, the bears have become the expensive collector’s items. The world’s first Teddy Bear Museum was set up in Petersfield in 1984. Teddy Bear has been 104 years old.
 
The birth of Teddy Bear According to  the story, when Theodore Roosevelt took a trip to Mississippi to settle a border dispute between that Mississippi and Louisiana, Roosevelt went on a bear hunting. However, Roosevelt had an unsuccessful hunt. So the hosts wanted to please him and caught a cub to let Roosevelt shoot. But Roosevelt refused to kill the cub and called it ‘’ unsportmanlike’’. Afterward this incident was reported to the Washington Post Newspaper on November 16, 1902. Cliffored Berryman  drawn a cartoon, called ‘‘Drawing the Line in Mississippi’’ Then, this cartoon inspired a man and the man made a bear in honor of Roosevelt with his wife. Roosevelt’s nickname was Teddy.The bear was called ‘’Teddy’s Bear’’.

Part II  The original producer   A.Morris Michton( a Russian ) Morris Michton and his wife, Rose, ran a stationery store. After they saw the carton, Michton asked his wife to make a bear to display in their store window to sell. Then they also got Roosevelt’s permission to call this bear,'‘ Teddy's Bear’’.  The Michton ‘s bear looked sweet, innocent, and upright. Their bears was bought many quickly. Their bears soon caught the attention of a wholesale from Buther Brothers. So Michton used the financial support of Buther Brothers and opened a company called ‘’The Ideal Novelty Toy Company’’.
B. Steiff (the German) At the same time, Margarete Steiff was convinced to produce a toy cub by her nephew, Richard Steiff. In 1902,the Steiff company made a toy bear based on Richard’s designs. In 1903,Steiff introduced their toy bear at the Leipzig Toy Fair. American toy buyer knew the growing of ‘’Teddy’s Bear’’ in the Stetes so ordered 3000 Steiff bears.  At this time, Michton’s bear had more cute and baby-faced appearance but Steiff’s bear more closely the real bear cub.

Part III The Teddy Bear Craze  By 1906 the teddy bear craze appeared in the United State. Society lady carried their teddies everywhere, and children had their pictures taken with their teddy bears. These behaviors was fashionable for people. Roosevelt changed his mascot from moose to teddy bear for his re-election champion. Seymour Eaton wrote a lot of children’s books about the adventure of The Roosevelt Bears. J.K Bratton, an American composer, wrote ‘’The Teddy Bear Step’’. That song would become ‘’The Teddy Bear’s Picnic’’.
In 1906, Playthings Magazine  first appeared the word ‘’Teddy Bear’’ without the apostrophe and the s. In America, there were  many companies appeared but they were difficult to last. Meanwhile, American manufacturers made bears in different colors and kinds. For example, Roller Bears, Tumbling Bears, Electric Eyes Bears and teddy Bear china.
 
 
Conclusion Teddy  Bear artistry was born with Beverly, who coined the term ‘’teddy bear artist’’, often called the mother of teddy bear artistry. Some Teddy Bears are provided  children to play but some bears for adults, called ‘’collector items’’ or ‘’Designer Bears’’. There are two kinds of bears.  The first  type is the head, arm and legs are sewn with bear’s body together.  The other type is the bear uses iron joint to connect with internal body. So this kind of bear can move the head ,hands and legs.
