This document provides a summary of Julia Tyquiengco's personal evaluation of eight technology tools for their potential educational value. She rates the tools on ease of use, true educational value, and how fun they are to use, with a scale of 1 to 5. Delicious receives the highest rating of 5 for being a great way to organize bookmarks and never lose websites. Firefox also receives a 5 for being fast, safe, and secure. The other six tools—Moodle, Google Suite Apps, Picnik, MediaFire, DimDim, and Slideshare—all receive ratings of 5 for their speed, safety, and ability to rescue users when other browsers fail.

1. EASE OF USE – I was able to use tool
immediately without having to spend too
much time with a tutorial.
2. TRUE EDUCATIONAL VALUE – Student
learning will definitely be enhanced with the
use of this tool.
3. FUN TO USE – In my humble opinion, #’s 1
and 2 are of no use if 3 is not true!

using a SCALE rating system of 1 – 5
A "5” rating = Would DEFINITELY use this

A "1" rating = Would definitely NOT use
this tool as an educator.
