Palavras-chave: elearning, Second Life®, redes sociais, ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem, interculturalidade.
Abstract:.
In Higher Education in elearning the use of synchronous communication tools, more specifically the tridimensional virtual environments may be a complementary option to the asynchronous platforms in order to get students closer to one another, promoting a more direct and interactive communication and interculturality. In an ongoing investigation and through the implementation of specific activities it was considered important to check these and other aspects by the use of Second Life®. The main results, though still not the final ones, point out to an advantageous use of this platform, despite the technological troubles and the difficulties shown in the manipulation of the graphic environment.
Keywords: elearning, Second Life®, social networks, virtual learning environments, interculturality.

This 3 line poem humbly acknowledges that the speaker is not considered physically attractive but takes comfort in the fact that others cannot see their face. The speaker finds humor in the idea that their appearance may disturb those who interact with them from the front.
The document profiles two Westminster alumni, Danny Linsz and Libby Daugherty, who have careers focused on community outreach and service. Danny is the director of recruitment for Serving in Mission, where he helps people discern if they are called to become missionaries. Libby works as a social worker for an adoption agency, assisting families through the adoption process and caring for orphaned children. Both expressed that their desire to serve others and make an impact in their communities led them to these careers in ministry and social work.
