Steve has been with Abbvie for 25 years, calling on neurologists, psychiatrists and
institutions since 1990 and covering most of the Southeast from South Carolina,
southeastern Tennessee, and parts of Georgia to all of Alabama, eastern Mississippi
and the Florida panhandle.
Since joining Abbott/Abbvie, Steve accrued numerous recognitions, including multiple
DELTA awards, Pacesetter Leadership Team appointments and is a two-time All Star
winner in 1999 and 2010. Embracing a collaborative outlook, Steve consistently
pursues various leadership roles within the company, including serving as a Regional
Field Trainer in 2004, 2007 and 2008, and as District Mentor in 2010. Steve was
nationally selected to attend the Kellogg Graduate School of Management Leadership
Development program in 2001. He is a member of the Epilepsy Foundation of North
and Central Alabama and the Depressive and Manic Depressive Association.
Steve employs sincerity and assertive consideration in his sales approaches,
developing genuine and positive relationships with sales contacts with his obvious
patient-driven focus. His ethical commitments carry over from his personal life,
where Steve has been a Sunday school teacher and the chairman of the deacons
committee at the Montevallo First Baptist Church for over 20 years.
In his free time, Steve is a dedicated marathon runner, having completed 20
marathons since 1978,including the prestigious Marine Corps Marathon in Washington
DC. Steve brings the patience, commitment and resilience necessary to train for
long-distance running to his sales approach, embodying these core values to initiate
and maintain franchise interests with various providers and contacts.
Steve enjoys spending time with his family, including touring Europe with his brothers
and training for future marathons with his two daughters, Savannah and Rachel. He
and his wife, Karen, love travelling around the Southeast visiting historic towns and
sites, as well as researching family history and genealogy.
