Susan Hahn is an American poet, playwright and novelist from Chicago, Illinois. She received a B.A. and M.A. in psychology from Northwestern University. After working as a therapist, she began writing poetry and had poems published in Poetry magazine. She went on to edit TriQuarterly literary magazine from 1997 to 2010. Hahn has published several collections of poems and was named the Ernest Hemingway Foundation's first writer-in-residence in 2013.
