2. Vermont Improv Intensive, July 10-13
Directed by Eugene Friesen, The Vermont Improv Intensive includes class and
private instruction in an historic setting, introduction to contemporary practice
technologies, custom study materials, performance opportunities, jam sessions,
and ensemble work.
Creative Cello Workshop, July 31 – August 3
Eugene Friesen invites you to join a community of cellists exploring new ways
of collaborating and using our instruments. Innovative rhythmic techniques,
accompanying singers and other soloists, creating cello parts in a “band” setting,
practicing for being a lead voice in an ensemble – these are issues demanding
creative solutions for the contemporary cellist.
Your Rhythm, Your Life – August 21-24
With Glen Velez, LOIRE, and Eugene Friesen. Percussionists, instrumentalists
and vocalists are welcome to join this special guided process of discovery into
the inner world of flowing time and creative collaboration.The program includes
performance opportunities, improvisation, movement, participatory classes and
conversation.
