A group of people from different cities came together to create a temporary intentional community called DIY Commune in Moscow, Idaho. Without having met in person, they collaborated online and distributed information to attract others. When they arrived, locals and visitors attended open meetings to discuss living cooperatively for the summer. Residents participated in various social activities like parties, camping trips, and community events while reconnecting with rural skills. The DIY Commune was intended as a utopian social experiment in cooperative living.
