Windhoek - Swakopmund
DAY 1: SAT 
Windhoek - Kalahari Desert 
Travel into Kalahari Desert and undertake a scenic sunset drive (in open vehicles). 
Overnight in the Kalahari region at Kalahari Anib Lodge or similar. [Dinner]
DAY 2: SUN 
Kalahari Desert - Fish River Canyon 
Visit a Quiver tree forest near Keetmanshoop. Continue via Naute Dam to 
northern fringes of Fish River Canyon. Overnight at Canon Roadhouse or similar.

DAY 3: MON 
Fish River Canyon - Aus 
Walk along the rim of one of the world’s largest canyons. Optional sundowner 
drive (for own account) to watch feral horses of the Namib Desert. Overnight in 
Aus at Desert Horse Inn or similar. [Breakfast, Dinner]
Aus - Maltahöhe 
Opportunity to do an optional excursion to Kolmanskop. See the ever-changing 
beautiful vistas of the desert landscapes when driving along the Namib Desert. 
Overnight at Hammerstein Lodge or similar. [Breakfast, Dinner] 
DAY 4: TUES
DAY 5: WED 
Maltahöhe - Namib-Naukluft Park 
Early start to Sossusvlei. 4x4 scenic drive into heart of the Namib Dunes. Visit 
Sesriem Canyon en route past Naukluft Mountains. Overnight in Namib-Naukluft 
Park region at Namib Naukluft Lodge or similar. [Breakfast, Dinner]
DAY 6: THURS 
Namib-Naukluft Park - Swakopmund 
Travel through Solitaire and Kuiseb Canyon to the coast. Visit Walvis Bay and its 
well-known lagoon. Arrive at Swakopmund and join a sundowner drive to Moon 
Landscape. Overnight in Swakopmund at Brigadoon Guesthouse or similar.

DAY 7: FRI 
Swakopmund 
Day at leisure to explore Swakopmund (unguided). Wide range of activities on 
offer (for own account). Overnight at Brigadoon Guest House or similar.

Swakopmund 
Another day at leisure to explore Swakopmund (unguided). Possibly meet fellow 
travellers at dinner who join the tour in Swakopmund. Overnight at Brigadoon

DAY 9: SUN 
Swakopmund - Damaraland 
Depart early towards Henties Bay. See the Rock Art and the Organ Pipes at 
Twyfelfontein. Lunch pack en route. Arrive at remote lodge in Damaraland in the 
late afternoon. Overnight at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge.

DAY 10: MON 
Damaraland 
Morning at leisure. Lunch. Afternoon sundowner drive in the Aba Huab River and 
possibly encounter the desert dwelling elephants (seasonal). Overnight at 
Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. [Full Board]
DAY 11: TUES 
Damaraland – Etosha national Park 
Visit a Damara village, near Twyfelfontein, before departing to Etosha National 
Park. Lunch en route (for own account). In the afternoon take your first game 
drive (in a closed vehicle) in Etosha. Overnight near Etosha National Park at 
Etosha Safari Camp or similar. [Breakfast, Dinner]
DAY 12: WED 
Etosha National Park 
Spend the entire day in the park exploring the waterholes along this enormous 
saltpan in a closed vehicle game drive (open vehicle game drives are optional and 
for own account). Overnight near Etosha National Park at Etosha Safari Camp or 
similar. [Breakfast, Dinner]
DAY 13: THURS 
Etosha National Park 
Another day of explorations in this world-famous National Park in a closed game 
drive vehicle (open vehicle game drives are optional and for own account). 
Overnight at Mokuti Etosha Lodge or similar. [Breakfast, Dinner]
Depart for Windhoek via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja to explore a local handicraft 
market. Tour ends in Windhoek during late afternoon.
