The iPhone accounted for 19.6% of global smartphone shipments in the fourth quarter of 2021, capturing over 460,000 additional unit sales and growing 5% year-over-year while the overall smartphone market declined 6%. The iPhone 13 series drove much of this growth with the standard iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini accounting for an estimated 40% of iPhone sales and the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max making up around 30% of sales. Strategy Analytics reported that total iPhone shipments were around 7.5 million units in the fourth quarter.
