1) Masaru Emoto discovered that water crystals formed from water exposed to positive emotions and words showed beautiful intricate patterns, while water exposed to negative emotions and words formed incomplete or deformed crystal structures. 2) Emoto developed techniques using microscopy and photography to examine the crystal structures that formed when water was frozen. The structures provided evidence that water responded to human consciousness, thoughts, and emotions. 3) Distance did not affect the ability of thoughts and prayers to influence water structure according to Emoto's research, but the purity of intent was more important. The combination of love and gratitude produced the clearest crystal formations.
