This document summarizes Sarah Jane Quiño Cantila's experience as a student taking Educational Technology courses. It discusses key concepts in educational technology like the five domains of design, development, utilization, evaluation and management. It also explains how technology can be used as an information and communication tool, as a tutor, and as a tool for teachers. Sarah Jane explains how EDTECH 1 introduced her to different educational media and how EDTECH 2 taught her to integrate technology into teaching and learning. The document concludes by discussing 21st century learners and the importance of investing in educational technology and school construction.

NS2 uses a discrete event simulation approach where events are lined up in a chain and executed sequentially over time. Events contain execution time and a reference to the next event. Classes Event and Handler are used to represent events and their associated actions in NS2. The Event class contains information about the next event, handler, time, and ID. The Handler class defines the default action for the event using its handle function. This allows NS2 to link events to their corresponding actions and execute the simulation by processing each event one by one in the chain.
This document discusses binding variables between C++ and OTcl in NS2 simulations. It describes creating a C++ class with a variable and binding it to an OTcl variable using the bind() function in the C++ constructor. This allows modifying the variable from either domain. The document provides an example of binding a C++ variable "count_" to the OTcl variable "ocount_", creating an OTcl object, and verifying it can get and set the shared variable from OTcl or by changing it in C++.

Typography is the art and technique of arranging type. The document discusses the history of typography from uncial lettering in ancient times to modern developments. It then covers typographic characteristics such as font, typeface, and kerning. The document also includes an anatomy of font terms and diagrams of serif, sans serif, and other font styles. Instruments used for calligraphy like markers, pens, and brushes are also mentioned.
This document provides an overview of corporate identity and logo design. It discusses key elements of logos such as logotypes, word marks, letter marks, and emblem marks. It also covers logo anatomy, geometry, styles, semantics, and exercises for designing logos. Examples are given of linear, volumetric, stained glass, and other styles. Guidelines are provided for logo development including choosing a company, explaining its meaning, creating a timeline, and offering a new variant. The document serves as a comprehensive reference for understanding corporate branding and logo design fundamentals.
This document provides instructions for drawing objects using light and shadow techniques. It discusses key concepts like highlights, core shadows, cast shadows, and reflected light. Exercises are included to practice rendering tone scales and applying light/shadow techniques to bring objects to life on the page.
1. The document discusses ancient Greek mathematical systems for proportion and scale, including the golden ratio and middle third rule.
2. It provides examples of how these composition rules can be applied to art through techniques like simplifying scenes, filling space, using patterns, negative and positive spaces, focus, direction, movement, framing, layout, symmetry, and using odd numbers of elements.
3. Readers are given exercises to build pictures using these composition bases and rules of proportion.
Doodling can help activate the right side of the brain related to creativity and imagination. It involves using simple lines and shapes to create characters and tell stories. Exercises encourage developing characters and composing scenes using metamorphosis, where elements interact and transform between forms through techniques like interaction, conversion, and transfiguration. Practicing doodling and metamorphic compositions can help strengthen creative visualization and problem-solving skills.
This document discusses the elements of design for people. It describes the main characteristics of lines used in design, including thickness, species, straightness, saturation, and curvature. It outlines several functions of lines in design like creating a backplane, separating elements, and accentuating parts. The document also discusses using lines to convey emotions and explores different styles of line-based design exemplified through images. Finally, it provides exercises for the reader to practice different line-based composition styles and explores using shapes and rhythm in design.
