Description: The project theme focused on developing an Inverter in cascaded H-bridge topology which can work in
three levels like 3, 5 and 7 level topologies, there by obtaining a comparative study.
2. Project Title: PowerQuality improvement using a shunt active power filter
Organization: VIT University, Chennai.
Platform Used: MATLAB
Contribution: Simulation development and hardware analysis.
Description: The project objective is to develop a shunt active power filter using two techniques namely, synchronous
detection method and instantaneous P-Q theory. Simulation work has been successfully carried out and currently
developing on a hardware prototype.
 Mini-projects: Boost converter, Soft-Switching buck converter, Gate driver circuit, Simulink development of a
separately excited DC-Motor, comparative analysis of a three phase 5-levelinverter in cascaded H-bridge, diode
clamped, flying capacitor topologies.

 Presented paper on “Comparative analysis of 3-phase inverter in three different topologies” for SET Conference’14 at
VIT University, Chennai.
