I.T. LAB SETUP

SITUATION
 College of New Caledonia has been approved to setup a new computer lab for IT
Department.
 Requirement –“Lab setup with mandatory deployment of Win 8 after 6 months of
the Lab set up within a single day from the central server is possible.”
 I am asked to propose a Project Scope and than implement it and make a thorough
report in response .
ACTIONS TAKEN
 Project Scope was submitted to the management in response to Project Goal on 23rd
Jan.
 We were a group of 3 with me being the team Lead. The responsibilities were
shared equally and we supported each other when required.
 We were required to Install 30 computers inside the lab with all the computers
connected to the server and installing selective IT software's.
 The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) was made which was changed with
requirements giving us a detail knowledge and experience of Project Management
Risks and benefits of having a mitigation plan to avoid such circumstances.
 The Project was started on 20th Jan 2014 and finished on 15th March.
