1. Can Lid Sizes
There are two common 12 and 16 ounce can lid sizes. Major US breweries are in the
process of changing their can lids from the larger size #4 to the smaller size #2. Most soft
drink can lids are size #2. The following table identifies the latest information we have on
the brands affected.

An easy way to check the can lid size is to use a place a Coke or Pepsi can lid to lid with the
unknown can. If the unknown can lid is the same as the Coke/Pepsi can lid, then it is size
#2. If the unknown can lid is larger than the Coke/Pepsi can lid, then it is size #4.
