Vancouver executive briefing seminar by csr training instituteWayne Dunn
Dramatically increasing social demands are a fact of life for business today. They represent difficult challenges and exciting opportunities for industry, government, multi-lateral organizations and NGO and development leaders.
This one day event (June 24 in Vancouver) will include lectures, panel discussions and group work/case studies and role playing scenarios.
Participants will leave with more comprehensive understandings, including especially of the perspectives of other stakeholders, and an enhanced ability to lead and manage in the rapidly evolving space where business, community and government meet.
To keep updated on postings and events go to www.csrtraininginstitute.com and sign up for the newsletter. If interested the CSR Knowledge Centre http://bit.ly/CSRknowledge contains a series of short, pragmatic articles on CSR Strategy, Management and related areas.

Discussion continuum - Rewolucja biotechnologicznaXplore Health
Discussion continuum - The biotechnology revolutionXplore Health
Biotechnology gives us an insight into the most intimate characteristics of a living being – its genetic code – and even allows us to alter it. But to what extent should scientists be allowed to alter and create living things? What restrictions should be in place regarding selection and implantation of embryos? How does biotechnology affect developing countries? To what extent do we have the right to know and not to know about genetic predisposition to illnesses? Who should assume the cost of providing such genetic information?
Groups of 8-12 students discuss the issues raised by each statement and choose where each card should go between ‘agree’ and ‘disagree’. Larger groups could use the resource to have a free discussion of the topic or you could use formats that require the students to work more formally or in smaller groups.

A CSR Thoughtpiece from the CSR Training Institute
When doing CSR and stakeholder projects, why hide self-interest? Do you really think you are fooling anyone?
Be upfront about what is in it for you.

Trabajo Final de Grado Física(UV): Angular distribution and energy spectrum o...Christiaan Roca Catala
Thesis of my bachellor in Physics.
We analise the angular distribution and the energy spectrum of neutrinos coming from decaying pions in a boosted frame. From this we observe the benefits of placing a detector at an off-axis angle respect to the trajectory of the pion.
In concrete we derive the effects of adding first order corrections to the mass of the initially set massless neutrino in the kinematical scheme. We compare the results with the well-known biography and determine that those corrections lead no contribution.
Finally we discuss the importance of this scheme on the neutrino experiments nowadays. A higher detection rate leads better results on the actual detections. In a near future this could shed some light on some of the most elusive problems nowadays in neutrino physics. For example, the neutrino mass hierarchy or the CP violation in the leptonic sector.
We pay special attention to the recent results of T2K (Tokai to Kamioka) and NOvA.
