Sir David Attenborough was born in 1926 in London and has had a career in broadcasting for over 50 years, best known for writing and presenting the BBC's Life series which surveys all life on Earth. His documentary style is observational as he follows creatures in their natural habitats and also expository in showcasing seldom seen animals. Some of his most famous works include the Life, Blue Planet, and Planet Earth series which explore nature and environmental issues.
