Simple present Tense We use simple present tense to talk about things in general. Ex: Nurses look after the patients in hospitals . Children like ice-cream  We use it to say that something happens alt he time or repeatedly or for habitual actions or dailly activities. Ex: I usually go to market at weekends . Paul wakes up at 5 in the morning. We use to say that something is true in general. Ex: The earth goes round the sun .
Present simple More examples I go to school every day. She speaks English fluently. Sun rises in the east. Paper burns easily. Water boils at 100 degrees celcius.

Points to remember Remember that we say I work, but he works. They teach but my sister teaches. We sings but Rina sings. Don’t forget the –s in 3 rd  person singular (e.g., he, she, or it)
Interrogative sentences We have discussed affirmative sentences earlier, now will discuss Interrogative sentences. We use Do/Does to make questions. Ex: Do You drive? Does she sing?  Etc.

Negative sentences We use do/does to make negative sentences. Ex: I don’t go to market in the evening. I don’t take sugar in milk. etc.

Some more use of Present simple We use present simple when we say how Often we do things For ex: I don’t drink tea very often. In summer John usually plays tennis once in a week.
Further we we do things by saying something. for example , when you  promise  to do something you can say “I promise…’, or if u suggest something then  You can say ‘I suggest…’ etc Likewise we say I apologise…, I advice..,  I insist…etc.
Practice In the third person singular  affirmative  the verb has a final-s We form the negative with don’t (doesn’t in the 3 rd  person singular). We form questions with Do…?(Does …?in the 3 rd  person singular).
