Group Presentation-
Sickle Cell Ministries
By Candice Clark, Bianca Elorza, Hayden Holmes,
Anthony Ibarra, Spencer LeBouef, Zachary Moore
Our Goals
 To raise awareness about the disease Sickle
Cell Anemia.
 To host a fundraiser in order to raise money for
Sickle Cell Ministries.
 To give out flyers with the information regarding
sickle cell anemia, thereby informing the public
about the disease and how it affects the world.
The Plan in Action
 Candice-called BlueSky and set the date for the
fundraiser. (Thursday Oct. 9th)
 Bianca and Anthony-assisted in creating flyers
that we handed out around campus.
 Hayden and Spencer-created and ordered the
bracelets that we handed out to peers.
 Zach-created a fundraiser page about the event
on Facebook as well as the idea for the flyers.
Marketing
 We raised a total of $188.19, 10% of which we
kept, to a total of $18.82.
 Though it wasn’t a target amount we still
continued to spread the word about sickle cell
anemia to those around campus.
 We handed out the wrist bands that were left
over in the free speech area as well as to our
friends with a informational strip attached to it.
What We Have Learned
 Though conflict can arise in group projects we were
fortunate enough to not have any major conflict and
we were able to pull through and make our project as
clear and as meaningful as possible.
 We accomplished our goals, spread awareness
about the disease, and attempted to raise money for
Sickle Cell Ministries.
 We learned how to communicate effectively to get
the job done, as well as how to apply the knowledge
of organizational communication from what we
learned in class.
