Battens
Shutterflex battens can be used as window sunscreens,
awnings over windows, fences, gates, pool enclosures,
gable features and privacy screens. Battens can be
positioned horizontally or vertically. There is a choice
of two standard screens: 65mm x 16mm battens
or 50mm x 25mm battens.
With our own manufacturing plant we can make the
battens to your specifications. Some of the options
available include:
varying the pitch between the battens•
varying the separation distance between the battens•
with a miniumum set at 10mm
with a frame or frameless.•
Powder coated aluminium requires little maintenance
and with the new wood grain finish you can get the look
of wood without cutting down any trees. If you want to
create an impact with your batten screens, there are over
eighty colours to choose from. Powder coating colours are
available for all the colourbond colour range so your battens
can compliment existing external features on your home.
Shutterflex can provide you with a quality installation by

The Ellipse Fins are designed as two components, a
skeleton which provides a supporting structure for the
second component, a skin or outer covering. The Fins
can be fixed or automated as single or multiple units that
are adjusted to meet location and weather requirements.
Fixings are concealed to achieve a stylish exterior finish.

The perforated Ellipse Fins out perform their solid louvre equivalents by providing more natural light , reducing the need

The SF-70 is manufactured using a Shutterflex extruded
aluminum blade. The blade is 70mm along the angled leg.
The SF-70 is supplied standard with a blade pitch to give zero
blade overlap. Due to the flexibility of the SF-70 design the
blade pitch can be made to suit your specific requirements.
The blades are assembled using the Shutterflex rod and
tube system. This system gives a very sturdy assembly
making the SF-70 the preferred option for many architects.
