This document summarizes a study on the relationship between feeding methods in childhood and the development of oral habits. The study analyzed data from questionnaires completed by parents of 162 children aged 12-36 months. The results showed that children who were breastfed were less likely to develop oral habits than children who were bottle-fed or used a mixed feeding method. The duration of breastfeeding was also important, as children who were weaned earlier than 6 months were more likely to develop oral habits. The conclusion recommends exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months to reduce oral habits, and removing non-nutritive sucking habits such as pacifiers by 24 months to encourage proper craniofacial development.
