Rosa SEGURA
Born in San Sebastian (Euskadi, Spain)

Currently, the artist lives in Madrid.
Even though she considers herself a self-taught artist, she perfected her natural artist
talents at different art schools in Madrid and by participating at Specialized Seminars
such as the one chaired by Juan Muñoz at the Beaux Arts Circle, Madrid.

Since very young she was greatly Influenced and very much impressed by the beauty of
the classic Greek and Egyptian art which prompted her to start showing an interest in
the art of Sculpture. She strongly reinforced this tendency through literature by reading
a book wherein the main character was expressing her feelings shaping up with her own
hands a formless piece of clay.
                                                                                (continues)
She has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous collective shows as
well as in International Art Fairs. Her seventh presentation in the United States has been
at the show “Out of the Shadows” exhibited at the Aldo Castillo Gallery, Chicago.
Lately has been participating at the annual “INTERART, NL”, in Holland, an Open
Space international sculpture exhibition as the only Spanish artist having a presence
showing how her artwork has evolved presenting a very small selection of the different
stages her creation has been going through.

Actually she is dedicating herself to the creation of a figure under strong stress and
fighting space.
