Greg and his son took a road trip through the desert southwest United States in November 2015 to search for and photograph intaglios, or geoglyphs carved into the desert floor. Some of the key locations they visited included Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas, the Colorado River near Parker Dam and Blythe, CA, Needles, CA airport, and the old mining town of Oatman, AZ.
