Scratch is an introductory computer programming language where users can create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. It was developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab, and is designed for ages 8 to 16 to be able to easily create their own programs. The software provides a block-based programming environment that makes it easy to snap together commands and instructions to control characters and create scripts for games and stories.
