What is SCRA? The Signal Corps Regimental Association, or SCRA, is a private, nonprofit organization that provides an opportunity for all active, reserve, and national guard, officers, warrant officers, enlisted members and civilians, as well as any former members of the Signal Corps to aid in preserving for posterity the proud heritage of the U.S. Army Signal Corps Regiment, and Signal units throughout the world.  Through direct financial support, the association will work to enhance the Regiment’s ability to recruit officers and warrant officers, recognize our Regiment’s NCO leaders during their NCOES, and contribute to events that encourage the community of our Regiment. The Association will also work to ensure the lessons of history and proud traditions of the Signal Regiment are not forgotten.
Purpose Foster and preserve the esprit, tradition and cohesion of the Regiment  Publicize and reinforce the Regiment's goals  Foster excellence and belonging through the Orders of Mercury, Wahatchee or Brevet Colonel  awards and recognition program  for outstanding Signal Corps professionals and volunteers who have made significant contributions to both the Regiment and the Signal Corps Regimental Association.  The Association works to form the Regiment that consists of military (Active, Reserve, Retired, Separated, Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Enlisted), Department of the Army Civilians, Contractors and our Industry partners, or other individuals that are interested in the association
Membership Fees E-7 and Above Lifetime  $200.00 3 Years  $45.00         1 Year  $18.00  SSG and Below Lifetime    $125.00   3 Years   $27.00        1 Year     $10.00
New Membership Incentives 1 year memberships receive: Regimental Coin Membership Card Subscription to “Network” Pen Renewals:  Members that renew for 3 years and lifetime receive a SCRA pen light, and the membership level incentives if they renew at a higher level, otherwise they receive an updated membership card, a letter from the Association Executive Officer, and will continue to receive  " The Network".
3 year Memberships receive: Engraved Regimental Coin Membership Card Pen Key Chain Subscription to “Network” Pen New Membership Incentives
Lifetime Memberships receive: Membership Card Subscription to “Network” Pen Color Engraved Regimental Coin Membership Card Hat Lapel Pin Lifetime Certificate Key Chain Coffee Mug New Membership Incentives
Awards Program Awards Program The Signal Corps Regimental Association has three awards recognizing people who have made significant contributions to the Regiment and the Association, or who have demonstrated exceptional standards of professional excellence -- the Order of Mercury, Brevet Colonel and Wahatchee awards. Nominators and prospective award nominees for Orders of Mercury must be current SCRA members.   Nominators for Brevet Colonel and Wahatchee awards must be SCRA members in good standing, but the nominees are not required to be members.   Nominations are accepted year-around.
Awards Program (cont’d) The awards packages include a medallion with orange neck ribbon, a presentation case, stick pin (Wahatchee only) and a certificate signed by the Chief of Signal.  A separate medallion for presentation is available for an additional cost ($25).  SCRA is the sole authorized distributor of the awards. Awardees are expected to wear their awards with pride at Branch and Regimental specific occasions, such as the  Signal Corps anniversary balls, unit dining-in/outs.  It is not appropriate to wear the medallions at other social functions.
