precise

Si usa past per indicare i minuti compresi nella
prima mezz'ora
Es: it's ten past eight (sono le 8.10)
A quarter past
"un quarto d'ora"
Es it's a quarter past eleven
Sono le 11.15
Half past
Mezz'ora
Es: it's half past nine
Sono le 9.30
To
Si usa to per indicare i minuti che mancano all'ora
successiva

Sono le 10.50, cioe' manca dieci alle undici
Remember...
Nel linguaggio informale si usano i numeri sino a 12
per esprimere l'ora. Per distinguere le ore del mattino
da quelle pomeridiane o serali si usano le espressioni
A.m. ( dal latino ante meridiem) per le ore della notte
e del mattino
P.m. (dal latino post meridiem) per le ore del
pomeriggio e della sera

Significa "sono le 8 del mattino"
