Samurai and Jedi share similarities as warriors who serve masters or leaders, following orders without hesitation. They both use practice swords in training - samurai use wooden swords while Jedi use training lightsabers. Both cultures have codes of honor that guide warriors' behavior. However, they also have differences in how they are trained from a young age and in their roles - samurai are dedicated to protecting Japan while Jedi serve as peacekeepers across the galaxy.
